The gorgeous art work that inspired this challenge: My Blue Angel by 3D chalk artist - Jenny McCracken
This layout is one that has been made to participate in an online challenge for http://artasticchallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/ The criteria was based an a 3D chalk artists painting of an angel and needed to include either wings or chalk.
I was going to use some chalk but not having any in the house sort put an end to that idea. So the above was the end result. It is my favourite photo of my brother Nick and his new wife Kim on their wedding day. It is very candid and natural. I chose the bright colours because they were an important part of the day; Kim was wearing hot pink boots under her dress with rainbow socks! The products I have used are Bazzill (Black), Kaisercraft paper and gems, Prima flowers, Scrapmatrix word & butterfly, TimHoltz Ribbon and Glimmer Mist and Tag from Tattered Angels.

I made this recently because I was sick of having nowhere to put my keys... this usually ended up with me stressing out when I couldn't find them in the morning. So... I used a couple of bits if kindling and hot glued them together. I painted them and got to work adding my paper and embellishments. The paper is from Tim Holtz Idea-ology range "Lost & Found". The flowers are from Prima (my favourite!) I got the hooks from my local $2 shop, they were a bit brassy so I inked them with some Staz-On 'Timber Brown' which vintaged them up.

So I have finally got off my butt and started scrap-booking again. Study took up a lot of my time, but that is finished and I am looking forward to doing something for myself. This blog is a way for me to motivate myself, set myself a challenge and prove to myself that I can do it. Mostly it will be scrap-book stuff but I am sure other bits and pieces will make their way in.

Thanks for taking the time to come and have a look :)
